Brett Cochran is co-owner and Production Manager. Brett was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland. Where his family operates a general construction firm. He attended Linganore High School and went on to receive a degree in Marketing at James Madison University. Growing up in a construction family gave Brett a variety of construction and business experience. This experience has proved vital to the development and success of 4-Outdoor.
The family relocated to a 300 acre farm in Frederick County when Brett was a teenager. Their company renovated the farm’s history barn and surroundings into the beautiful and successful Morningside Inn. The Cochran family continues to operate the Inn and four generations of Cochrans live on or around the beautifully maintained grounds.
Brett worked as a white water rafting guide on several West Virginia rivers, including the world famous Upper Gauley. This experience spawned a love of the outdoors and travel that is now being passed down to his children. Brett has rafted or kayaked nearly 100 rivers in the US and Canada. He is now continuing his travels with his wife and kids via RV. Together the family has visited 47 National Parks and logged thousand of miles in pursuit of passion of experiencing the beauty of our great country.
Brett is focused on the efficient and effective operation of 4-Outdoor. Whether talking shop about building or sharing stories of wild rivers and distant mountains, Brett is passionate about quality of experience and experiences.
Lesli Cochran is co-owner and Office/Marketing Manager. She is originally from Kansas City Missouri and attended nursing school at Hawaii Pacific University. After earning her BSN degree, she worked as an ICU nurse at VCU in Richmond Virginia as well as Shock Trauma in Baltimore Maryland. After several years of nursing, she became interested in medical sales and worked in this field for several years.
In 2004, she began working with Brett at 4-Outdoor because the business was growing so rapidly. Lesli loves to spend time outside with her children and shares Brett’s passion of travel. She has been on safari in Africa as well as several countries in Central America in addition to her travels in the states. She tends to several flower gardens at their home as well as a very large vegetable garden. She is passionate about the “real food” movement and buys only local pasture raised beef, chicken, and pork. She plans add chickens to their homestead this year to provide her family with fresh eggs. She is the leader of her daughter’s Girl Scout troop and an active member of Liberty Elementary PTA.

We ordered a shed for the Walkersville High School Band Boosters and it came out exactly as asked. Delivery was easy and Brett was very thorough with ensuring the shed was level and in place.
