14×16 Custom Built Run-In Frederick Maryland
My customers in Frederick Maryland needed a custom pole barn for their horses as well as a riding ring created in the adjacent space. After several site visits we determined the best building for their needs as well as a great plan for the whole area.
The custom pole barn was built with nine foot side walls on the low side of beam. The inside height has a minimum of nine foot clearance. The pole barn was built on site with 6×6 Pressure treated posts on 30″x 16″ x 8″ concrete footers, completed by 4-Outdoor. We used a white pine board and baton exterior. The pole barn has 6″ overhangs on all four sides. There are oak kick boards inside the pole barn at 52′ @ 5′ tall. There is a 4/12 Pitch Shingled Roof on this pole barn.
We completed this job quickly and cleaned up and hauled away any debris which left the customer with a nice clean final product. Our crew performed the final grading around the pole barn and installed the customer provided grass seed.
This customer elected to not install gutters, although this is a service that we offer. We also offer stain or paint for our natural pine pole barns, but this customer chose not to stain or paint this building.
We obtained the permit for this pole barn and handled the entire project, including the site preparation. This customer had additional work that he needed to have completed. We graded the area of the pole barn and laid stone dust, which is the best material for horses. We also graded a riding area and placed stone dust. We buried the downspouts coming off the main barn and finished by grading and seeding the area.
